Point of Sale system was a natural choice for another
application to round out our product offerings. Our Integral
Accounting Enterprise system is a Internet based system that
can be used anywhere there is an Internet connection, and this
type of distributed system lends itself well to a POS
application. With just a phone line, a few computers with web
browsers, and the Integral Accounting Enterprise & Point
of Sales System, you can set-up a branch office with complete Accounting
and Point of Sales Capabilities in just moments. </p>
<p>The Integral Accounting Point of Sale system does not
require any special hardware to operate either. If you don't
have a touch screen, a few mouse clicks will do. If you don't
have a special receipt printer, a regular printer will do just
fine. The Integral Accounting Point of Sale system will,
however, work with all of the "Special" POS hardware
as well. POS Hardware with uses standard windows drivers, like
touch screen devices that operate like a mouse, scanners that
feed the keystroke buffer, and receipt printers that use
windows printer drivers, will work with the Integral
Accounting Point of Sales system without modification. Since
the Integral Accounting Point of Sale system comes with
complete source code, any special hardware POS devices that
you need to use can be integrated without modification as
well.</p>
<p>The Integral Accounting Point of Sale system is a
sub-system of the Integral Accounting Enterprise package and
requires the Enterprise System to run. What does this mean?
This means that the Integral Accounting Point of Sale system
is completely integrated with the standard Integral Accounting
Enterprise System. This means that all orders entered through
the POS System get posted into the Integral Accounting
Enterprise System, all of the inventory sold through the
system will be properly debited and credited in the Integral
Accounting Enterprise system, and the reports in the
Enterprise system will reflect the POS Systems sales and
activities. </p>
